Stein Rokkan Prize in Comparative Social Science Research
The Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research was first awarded in 1981 in honor of Professor
Stein Rokkan, former President (1973-77) of the International Social Science Council who pioneered this type of
research. It is awarded upon the recommendation of an independent jury set up by the European Consortium for
Political Research.
